Medi-Share
For some families, the way they approach health care is about more than cost. It can also be a reflection of their faith and convictions.
Medi-Share is a Christian health care sharing ministry—not health insurance. Members contribute toward the eligible medical expenses of other members according to the program’s guidelines. Unlike insurance, Medi-Share does not guarantee payment of medical bills, and its benefits and requirements are different from those of an insurance policy.
Membership includes agreeing to a Christian statement of faith and following the program’s membership guidelines. Unlike Marketplace health insurance, Medi-Share does not have an annual Open Enrollment Period, so eligible households can generally apply throughout the year, subject to current membership requirements. For members on Medicare, Medi-Share 65+ is designed to work alongside Medicare rather than replace it.
