Take back control
of your family’s financial future.

The Infinite Banking Concept is a long-term financial strategy centered on creating a private banking system inside a dividend-paying whole life insurance policy to keep your wealth within your family. By properly capitalizing your policy and accessing cash value through policy loans to finance major expenses, you can retain more control over the financing process and the interest you pay. This disciplined approach can provide tax-advantaged cash value growth, liquidity, and a foundation for long-term financial flexibility and generational planning.

The problem it solves

$650,000
The average American will pay nearly $650,000 in interest throughout their lifetime.
Source: Self Financial
Every major purchase in a lifetime gets financed one of two ways. You borrow the money and pay interest to a lender, or you pay cash and give up the interest that money would have earned. Either way there is a cost, and for most households that cost runs to hundreds of thousands of dollars across a working life.
Infinite Banking moves that financing function inside something you already own. Instead of applying to a bank, you borrow against the cash value of your own whole life policy.

How it works

Four steps, in order
01
Fund the policy
We design a dividend-paying whole life policy structured for cash value growth rather than death benefit alone — funded at a level you can sustain for decades.
02
Let it build
Cash value builds over time, with guarantees provided by the policy. Meanwhile, your death benefit remains in force, providing protection for your family as your policy continues to grow.
03
Borrow against it
A truck, equipment, a quarter of ground, a down payment, a semester of tuition. When an opportunity comes up, access the cash value you’ve built without a traditional loan application or credit check.
04
Uninterrupted growth
Access today’s capital without losing sight of tomorrow. Your cash value remains in the policy while you put borrowed funds to work, helping you pursue opportunities while continuing to build for the future.
What it is not

Straight answers before you start

It is not an investment.
It is a financing strategy built around a life insurance contract. The goal is not to chase market returns, but to build stable cash value and create access to capital.
It is not fast.
Meaningful cash value takes time to build. This is a long-term strategy for people willing to stay committed to the plan.
It is not for everyone.
If the premium doesn’t fit comfortably within your household or this strategy doesn’t align with your goals, we’ll tell you. Sometimes the right answer is a different solution. Good planning starts with what makes sense for you.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Six questions we hear most
What is the Infinite Banking Concept (IBC)?

The Infinite Banking Concept is a financial strategy developed by R. Nelson Nash that uses a properly structured whole life insurance policy as a component of a personal banking system. The concept focuses on building capital, using that capital to finance purchases through policy loans, and intentionally repaying those loans over time. It is a long-term approach that requires planning, discipline, and consistent funding.

Aren’t policy premiums just another added expense?

A whole life premium is a payment for an insurance contract that provides a death benefit and, as the policy accumulates value, may build cash value. In the Infinite Banking Concept, the goal is to structure and fund the policy so that cash value becomes a meaningful source of accessible capital over time.

Like a farmer planting before the harvest, building a strong capital base takes time. The early years can require patience, and the premium should fit comfortably within your overall financial situation.

Why do I need to repay policy loans if I’m borrowing my own money?

A policy loan is a loan from the insurance company, secured by the policy’s cash value—not a withdrawal of your own cash value. The Infinite Banking Concept encourages an “honest banker” approach: treat the borrowed capital as a loan, establish a repayment plan, and replenish the capital you intend to use again in the future.

Policy loans accrue interest according to the insurer’s terms. Unpaid loans and interest can reduce the policy’s cash value and death benefit and may affect other policy values. Repayment is therefore an important part of maintaining the system you are trying to build.

How does Infinite Banking differ from a traditional 401(k)?

Infinite Banking and a 401(k) are fundamentally different financial tools designed for different purposes.

A 401(k) is an employer-sponsored retirement plan with specific contribution, investment, withdrawal, and tax rules. The Infinite Banking Concept uses a whole life insurance policy and focuses on building accessible cash value that can be used during your lifetime through policy loans, while also providing a death benefit.

Neither approach is automatically right for everyone. The appropriate strategy depends on your goals, circumstances, risk tolerance, time horizon, and overall financial plan.

What kinds of expenses can I finance with my policy?

Policy loans can generally be used for a wide range of purposes, subject to the policy and insurer’s terms. Depending on the amount of capital available, people may use policy loans to help finance vehicles, equipment, real estate, business needs, education, or other major purchases.

The important question isn’t simply whether you can borrow. It’s whether using the capital makes sense for the purchase and whether you have a reasonable plan to repay the loan.

What should I do if I receive an unexpected financial windfall?

A windfall can create an opportunity—but it also creates choices. The Infinite Banking Concept encourages you to have a plan for unexpected capital before it arrives.

Depending on your circumstances and existing policy, a windfall might be used to repay policy loans, fund paid-up additions, strengthen cash reserves, invest, reduce debt, make a purchase, or pursue other financial goals. The right choice depends on your situation and the role you want that capital to play.

The goal isn’t to automatically put every windfall into life insurance. It’s to make an intentional decision about how that capital can best serve your family’s long-term goals.
