When you apply for coverage, we may collect additional information needed for the application and underwriting, such as date of birth, Social Security number, health history, medications, income, beneficiary details, and existing coverage.

Other than as needed to deliver text messages, we do not share any information gathered through text messaging, including mobile numbers, opt-in data, consent, and message content. This includes insurance carriers and their underwriters for the coverage you apply for, health care sharing ministries you choose to join, service providers that support our operations (such as our CRM, email, and text messaging providers), and regulators or law enforcement when legally required.

Service providers may use your information only to perform services for us and are not permitted to use it for their own marketing. We may share your mobile number and SMS opt-in status with Redtail Technology, its messaging platform providers, and phone carriers only as needed to deliver text messages you have agreed to receive.

We use Redtail Speak, a business text messaging service provided by Redtail Technology, to communicate with clients and prospective clients by text message.

We do not buy, sell, rent, or share mobile numbers, text messaging opt-in data, consent, or any other client data gathered for text messaging with any third party for any purpose. The only exception is Redtail Technology and the phone carriers that transmit messages, which receive this information solely to deliver the texts you have agreed to receive.

You opt in by checking the text message consent box on our website form, by giving consent on a client form or verbally to a member of our team, or by texting us first. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of any purchase. We record the date and method of your consent.

By providing your mobile phone number and agreeing to receive text messages, you consent to receive texts from Spencer Legacy Insurance about appointment scheduling and reminders, responses to your inquiries, quotes, application and document requests, and policy service. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

You can opt out at any time by replying STOP. After you opt out, you will receive one message confirming your request and no further texts unless you opt in again. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We will not share your opt-in to text messaging with any third party for purposes unrelated to providing you with text message service. All other categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

Health information you share for an insurance application is used only to apply for and service your coverage and is shared only with the carrier or program you are applying to. Please do not send health details, Social Security numbers, or account numbers by text message or unencrypted email.

We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect your information, and we limit access to employees and service providers who need it to serve you. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
